Together, We can bring Light to those left in the dark
Lighting the Way for the Most Vulnerable
Imagine facing pregnancy in a home without light. Imagine growing old without the safety of a lit path, or raising children alone with no reliable way to charge a phone, cook safely, or read at night.
Across rural Mozambique, many pregnant women, widows, and elderly people live in daily vulnerability. These groups are often the most affected by poverty, isolation, and the lack of access to basic infrastructure, especially electricity.
Without access to solar energy, many rely on kerosene lamps, candles, or open fires for light. These solutions are not just unreliable, they are dangerous: Kerosene lamps, still commonly used in areas without electricity, release toxic smoke that can cause serious respiratory illnesses over time. For families already living in vulnerable conditions, the risk of house fires from candles or open flames adds another layer of danger, especially for children and the elderly. On top of that, the ongoing cost of fuel places a constant financial burden on households already struggling to afford food, medicine, or school expenses.
At Green Watts, we’re focusing our donations on bringing solar energy to the people who need it most. A single solar kit can do more than just power a light or charge a phone. For widows raising families on their own, it offers a sense of dignity and control over their daily lives. For pregnant women, it brings peace of mind. Helping them navigate birth and recovery in a safer, more stable environment. And for the elderly, who are often left alone in the dark, it provides the safety and comfort of a lit home, where every step becomes a little easier and every night less uncertain.
Every donation helps us deliver and install clean, safe, and simple energy solutions directly to those who are most at risk and most often overlooked.
This is not just about electricity.
It’s about health, safety, and hope.
It’s about showing up for those who need it the most.
